TADOBA ANDHARI NATIONAL PARK
The Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is a wildlife sanctuary in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra state in India. It is Maharashtra's oldest and largest national park. Created in 1955, the reserve includes the Tadoba National Park and the Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. The reserve consists of 577.96 square kilometres (223.15 sq mi) of reserved forest and 32.51 square kilometres (12.55 sq mi) of protected forest.

Tadoba National Park
Early in the morning the jeep will pick you up from the resort for the jungle safari. It is the best time to sight various birds stretching their wings high in the sky. Besides the birds, various other wild animals will be waiting to greet you. After the jungle safari return to the resort for breakfast. Enjoy the breakfast, then lunch and then again head off for an evening jeep safari into the national park. In the evening you have more chances of sighting tigers. Return to the resort before it gets too dark. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the resort. Known for its rich biodiversity, the Tadoba National Park is nothing less than a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Owing to the presence of the big cats, the park was announced as the 41st Tiger Reserve of India. Along with the tigers, the park provides a home to the Wild Boar, Leopard, Spotted Deer, Rusty Spotted Cat, Indian Mouse Deer, Sambar, Gaur, Sloth Beer, Four Horned Antelope, Flying Squirrel and so on.

Get up early in the morning for the last jeep safari in the park (the jeep will pick you up from the resort). After witnessing the wonderful world of the wild beings, return back to the resort. Later, treat your taste buds with the healthy and yummy breakfast, and then pack your bags for check out. Forest Rules
1. The Gypsy booking is done online and the Canter booking is done offline.
*Any cancellation or any leftover quota, at any gate, after closure of Normal Online Booking is added to Tatkal Online Quota, for that particular gate
2. The advance booking period is 120 days.
3. Booking for canters is done offline from the office of Field Director at Chandrapur on first come first serve basis.
4. For gypsies, there are only two categories- Online and Tatkal.
5. There is no Spot booking.
Forest Features
Tadoba is easily amongst the best-connected forests. Ease of access means – you have plenty of travel choices. Orange city of NAGPUR is the best connection and is just about 100 km from Kolara Gate and 150 km from Moharli Gate. Good highways connect Tadoba to Nagpur, Hyderabad, Amravati, Yavatmal. Often tourists prefer to self-drive from Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai!!! Railway stations of Chandrapur, Wardha and Nagpur are well connected. Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Airport, Nagpur has good connections to major cities.
Safari booking for Core Gates is available online only. Safari booking for Buffer Gates available at the spot depending on the availability. All activities are a part of Buffer Gates only. Tadoba National Park is a popular tiger reserve known as ‘The Land of Tigers’ as large number of tigers are found here, Aside from the keystone species, the Bengal tiger, Tadoba Tiger Reserve is home to other mammals, including: Indian Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Dhole, Striped Hyena, Small Indian Civet, Jungle Cats, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Chital, Chausingha and Honey Badger. Tadoba lake sustains the marsh crocodile, which were once common all over Maharashtra. Reptiles here include the endangered Indian Python and the common Indian Monitor. Terrapins, Indian star tortoise, Indian Cobra and Russel’s viper also live in Tadoba. The lake is an ornithologist’s paradise with a wide diversity of water birds, and raptors. 195 species of birds have been recorded, including three endangered species. The Grey-Headed Fish Eagle, the Crested Serpent Eagle, and the Changeable Hawk-Eagle are some of the raptors. Other interesting species include the Orange-Headed Thrush, Indian Pitta, Crested Treeswift, Stone Curlew, Crested Honey Buzzard, Paradise Flycatcher, Bronze-Winged Jacana and Lesser Goldenbacked Woodpecker. Warblers and the Black-Naped Blue Flycatcher exist here and the call of the Peacock may often be heard. 74 species of Butterflies have been recorded Including the Pansies, Monarch, Mormons and Swordtails. Insect species include the endangered Danaid Egg-Fly and Great Eggfly. Dragonflies, Stick Insects, Jewel Beetles and the Praying Mantis are other insects found in the reserve. The Signature Spider, Giant Wood Spider and Red Wood Spiders are often seen during the monsoon and soon after. Some hunting spiders like the Wolf Spiders, Crab Spiders and Lynx Spiders are also common.
